Acuence™ · agentic AI
Put AI to work. In the business you run every day.
Bring AI into everyday operations to reduce manual preparation and move work forward across new business, servicing and distribution, with carrier-defined authority, human approvals and a record of what happened.
Bring one task your team repeats every day.
- Read application · 14 fields01
- Checked against carrier rule set v902
- Drafted requirement letter03
- Held for underwriter approval04

An agent cannot reach production without passing the same gates
From AI capability to everyday execution
Make AI part of the process.
Define where AI acts, what it can do and when people take over. Run those actions within the same workflow as forms, business rules, system calls and approvals, so the output becomes the next step in the work.
Example · an incomplete application
01 · Receive
Application received
The workflow passes the application and relevant requirements to the approved AI step.
02 · AI prepares
Find what is missing
Acuence™ checks the information and prepares a correction request with its findings.
03 · Person approves
Review the prepared request
The reviewer checks the findings and approves or revises the request before it proceeds.
04 · Continue
Move the case forward
The workflow advances to the next approved step, retaining the output and approval with the case.
Designed in LifeStudio. Executed by LifeWorks. AI work performed by Acuence™.
A process owner adds an AI step in LifeStudio the same way they add a form, a system call or a rule. It is versioned with the journey, promoted through the carrier’s approval path and effective-dated before it runs. Two step types are available.
Step type
Prompt
One bounded task with a defined input and a defined output: summarise a file, classify a request, extract fields from a document, draft a letter for review. The prompt, the sources and the output are retained with the case.
INPUT → PROMPT → OUTPUT → RETAINED
Step type
Agent
A bounded objective with permitted tools: read the record, call a system, check a rule set, prepare the work and stop where a person must decide. The path it took is retained, not reconstructed.
OBJECTIVE → TOOLS → ACTIONS → HANDOFF
Where Acuence™ goes to work
Start with the work your team repeats every day.
Choose a task with meaningful volume, a clear outcome and a defined approval boundary. Agree what Acuence™ may do, then measure the handling time, follow-up and review work that remains.
New business
Reduce incomplete application follow-up
Find missing or conflicting information, explain what is required and prepare the case for review before it becomes another round of NIGO follow-up.
Its authorityReads the application and writes a finding. It cannot accept, decline or issue anything.
Servicing
Route service work with the right context
Classify incoming requests, gather the relevant policy information and open the case with the appropriate owner and priority already set.
Its authorityCreates and routes a service case. It cannot change a policy, payment or producer record.
Distribution
Explain the payment with the record behind it
Explain the schedule, writing split, hierarchy and offsets behind a producer payment using the applicable records.
Its authorityReads payment and compensation records. It cannot adjust a payment, schedule or hierarchy.

Fits your existing operation
Acuence™ works from the systems and rules your business already trusts.
Verion, Accriva and your connected systems stay authoritative. Acuence prepares, checks and advances the work from them.
Core records
Verion™ and Accriva™
Use current policy, product, producer and compensation information without turning the AI into another system of record.
Connected systems
Carrier and third-party services
Reach approved data and services through governed APIs while the systems you keep remain authoritative.
Governed journeys
LifeStudio and LifeWorks
Define the step, authority and approval path in LifeStudio. Run the approved version and retain its evidence through LifeWorks.
Build toward an AI-first operating model
Start with one workflow. Prove its value. Expand with control.
Reading an application, gathering policy details, preparing a response: these tasks return with each new case. Start with one of them, establish a baseline for volume, handling time, follow-up and quality, then compare the AI-assisted workflow against it, including human review and exceptions.
Assess cost per completed case with model, integration and oversight costs included. Use observed results to decide where to expand. Any effect on the carrier’s expense ratio depends on adoption, volume and the costs actually removed.
Acuence™ runs on the same isolated per-carrier deployment as the rest of the platform. See the foundation →
01
Assign an owner and an outcome.
Start with the operations team responsible for the task. Choose the result to improve and define the inputs, permitted actions and points where people take over.
02
Evaluate and approve each change.
Test representative cases, incomplete information and exceptions. Use the carrier’s business, risk and compliance approvals before activating a version.
03
Measure, refine and reuse.
Review quality, exceptions and cost per completed case. Reuse the integration and control patterns for the next workflow.
See it under your rules
Bring one task your team repeats every day.
An incomplete application, a service request, a compensation question. We will show how Acuence™ prepares the work under your rules, where a person takes over and how to measure the result.
